About the project
During the COVID-19 lockdown, libraries faced unprecedented challenges, resulting in financial losses and dwindling customer engagement. In response, I embarked on a personal fictional project as a UX/UI designer to challenge myself and explore innovative solutions for libraries.
Within this project, my primary focus was the sign-up and plan selection process. I was responsible for creating an intuitive and user-friendly page that allowed users to select their desired membership plan. This crucial step aimed to enhance user engagement and streamline the onboarding experience, ensuring a seamless transition into the library's digital ecosystem.

Persona
Ideas
Tailored Plan Selection: Design an intuitive process for users to choose the best-fitting subscription plan based on their reading preferences and lifestyle.
Enhanced Signup Process: Design a user-friendly interface with informative tooltips to minimize input errors during registration.
User flow
Option 1 : Presenting the "Select Plan" step upfront may lead to lower user engagement and higher abandonment rates, as users are exposed to paying without fully engaging in the process.
Option 2: Starting with the signup process and immediately following it with selecting the payment amount and information reduces procrastination and creates a stronger sense of commitment and anticipation.
I chose option two as it leverages user psychology, maintains engagement, and increases the likelihood of users completing the signup process and selecting a paid plan.
